How it works:

When you register for one class, you register for all.

If there is a class that speaks to you, I recommend that you attend as many classes as possible live, so that you can ask your questions in real - time. Additionally, for every class that you attend live, you will get an entry to win a free individual job search coaching session.

But if you can’t attend, no worries. The recordings will be sent out each day. Bring your questions that came up when you were watching the recordings, or just a burning question that we didn’t cover.

When reading job descriptions, it’s easy to feel like you aren’t qualified for anything. And then you get those rejection emails, and it is proof that you aren’t. Or is it? You may notice on LinkedIn that people are making career changes everyday. Hiring managers aren’t “taking a chance” on these candidates. They are being hired because they are the best candidate for the role! 

 

There are hiring managers who are looking for you - with your current skill set. After being hired at my first tech job at Microsoft and my second, totally different role in tech, I saw exactly how my skills were needed. And I saw how many of my colleagues also came from other fields.

 

Everyone else will tell you that you need more training or that you need to persuade someone to hire you. This very rarely works. Let’s go over how to figure out what you are qualified for and who might be looking for you!

Less hiring means stiffer competition. But you have a HUGE advantage. Most of your competition doesn’t think they need to learn the strategy of job searching. So they don’t. They haven’t read a book, and most certainly have never been to a free class.

It’s easy to talk about resumes, but there is so much more that goes into a successful career change. Furthermore, how do you write a resume, LinkedIn profile, and market yourself for a role you have never held? Let’s go through the mistakes that will waste a ton of time and how to best position yourself for the role that you actually want.

 

Q&A will take place during classes, but there will be extra Q&A time at the end of class 1 and at the beginning AND end of classes 2 and 3.
