The Resume Upgrade
BUY NOWYour experiences are not disparate
Â
Having professional experience in more than one industry is both increasingly common and increasingly seen as an asset by managers. Varied experiences broaden our skill set and perspective. So why does it feel like hiring professionals are only looking for candidates with linear backgrounds?
Â
You might think that you have “disparate experiences” and that is probably the story that your resume is telling. But in reality, you have brought the same strengths to every role. Now if only you could figure out how to convey that...
Â
I have been there. When I first tried pivoting from a career as a teacher into technology, LinkedIn’s algorithms told me that I wasn’t qualified. But I was able to land a role at Microsoft, and it turned out that my years in education were actually a huge asset in the software industry.

"Now that I’ve had a chance to work with Lynn, my confidence is through the roof...Prior to working with Lynn, I was terrified...As I’ve been going through the journey and putting a lot of her training to use [I] have been having great success with it.”
Tiffany Gilsbach
"I went from a level of not a lot of confidence - and not asking a lot of my employer - to wanting a job where, if they weren’t going to meet me where I was at, I was not interested in working for them. And that’s a really big switch. And that, I feel, had mostly to do with the fact that I worked with Lynn and she was building me up and helping me tell my story.
From an ROI perspective, you can also look at what else you spend on self-care and wellbeing - because this is definitely in that category."

Lynn Juve has helped her clients land roles at Microsoft, Amazon, The American Heart Association, Qualtrics, Zulilly, Payscale and many small but mighty mission-based organizations.Â
Her clients often boast higher salaries, successfully land pivots, and get back to work after 2 years to 20 years of not being in a corporate role.
There were two pit stops on Lynn’s career journey that called her to start Bespoke Professional: she pivoted from education to tech and realized that the process was not built for pivoters and the tools available to job searching were making it harder for pivoters. And after pivoting and achieving her goals of building and managing a team at a respected tech company and earning six-figures she felt the most unhappy and anxious that she had in her life. She found herself looking for a new role when she felt her worst. She loves this work, especially seeing her clients succeed.
